The GOP members of sthe Assembly and State Senate were right. No budget until Democrats removed the extra money for counties that would fund health care for illegal aliens.

Unfortunately when a budget is late in California, the liberal media usually blame the Republicans.

This is where the Governor could have stood with GOP lawmakers and said. "The Democrats won't pass a budget on time becasue they want more money for illeglas." Good policy, Good politics.

Instead the Governor comes out for the extra illegal alien money and undmines his "team" in the Legislature. Bad policy, bad politics and bad for the GOP. Article here.
